They say 'All good things must come to an end' so it was with some excitement (and a little sadness) that we packed up our big ole' Beddie and headed out to Herberton on Saturday for our last wedding of the season.
Nicky and Jonny are based in Melbourne but our lovely Bride Nicky grew up in FNQ in Herberton. Her Dad's property was the venue for this vintage affair backing onto the rolling Aussie bush and surrounded by gentle breezes and swaying trees. Family and friends had ventured from all over the country to celebrate with this relaxed couple.
Vintage mismatched plates adorned the tables along with retro chairs and hand crafted florals by the Bride herself. She even created the most incredible floral heart which hung behind the Bridal table (pictured above), such a talented lady! Guests were gifted herb salt in tiny jars and BBQ sauce in brown bottles was provided on the tables for the delicious roast meats that were served later.
From a ceremony amongst the grasses, guests moved through to the reception at 6pm for the Cocktail hour! Our Berry Coolers went down a treat along with Peach and Elderflower Collins, which must've been good as they were disappearing fast! Such a perfect idea welcoming guests with a Cocktail hour-so much fun and so much cheaper than having to cater for cocktails all evening!
Guests indulged on carefully chosen red wines at their tables along with a selection of beers and white wines. As the evening wore on the Johnny Walker even made an appearance as guests made their way barefoot to the grass dance floor to dance the night away!
Nicky and Jonny, we wish you such happiness together. Thank you for sending off our first wedding season with such a big bang!
