Camilla & Jason-24th September 2016, Ellis Beach Yacht Club

October 4, 2016

Once in a while you're lucky enough to witness something truly special.  We go to a lot of weddings and they are all special in their own way but this one was different...

We have been fortunate to know Camilla and Jason for a few years so when they invited us and Beddie along to their wedding we were super excited!  It's not too often we get to go to a wedding where we get to enjoy on the other side of the bar!  Leaving the bar in the capable hands of our wonderful staff for the first time.

The big day dawned still and as blue as they come, with perfect views to Double Island.  As we were setting up we just couldn't believe the views and beachside location, Ellis Beach is truly a gorgeous spot to get married.

With a ceremony on the sand, we enjoyed views of the ocean as the lovely couple exchanged heartwarming and personal vows.

After, guests moved on the reception, only metres away under the meleleucas.  Decorated with a  relaxed and tropical feel, lounges and high bar tables, decorated with shell centre pieces, encouraged guests to keep moving around and socialising.  Lychee Mojito's in our big drinks dispensers were very well appreciated, it was a hot day so they slid down with ease!  There was ample sparkling (Camilla's fave!) along with beers on tap and a selection of wines.

Guests dined on canapes by the incredibly Chriso- I can promise you they were all to die for!  One of the highlights of the evening (there were many!) was the beautiful hand made swing, hung in the tree closest to the beach and decorated with flowers.  It made the ultimate photo prop and was occupied all night by people (including us!) stopped for a chat or taking a quick snap.  What a fabulous idea and what a memory to take home.

A huge thank you must go to our fabulous staff who didn't skip a beat and who were still there tidying long after we told them to go home and relax so that we could enjoy ourselves.  They are such a great team and we're lucky to have them.
