We were pretty excited for this week.
This week our 2016 wedding season started!
The first of many was celebrating the marriage of Mark and Sally at the beautiful Lavender Hill, somewhere I hadn’t been before. And if you haven’t, you just must. The house is perched at the top of a hill slowly rambling down to the shoreline of Lake Tinaroo. Sally had chosen a simple marquee on the water front with heaps of really cute handmade touches from painted flower jars to lanterns she made herself for their intimate wedding. We felt blessed to be there as we were one of the only vendors the couple didn’t know-everything from the food to photography and even the band were people they knew, but we didn’t feel like outsiders for long!
Everyone who had been invited was friendly and so fun so we had a great night. The cocktails were super popular with Sally and Mark opting for Mojito’s, Pear Drops, Bearded Man cocktails and also a Bellini Bar on offer as the sun set and turned the sky pink over the lake and mountains. Unfortunately, no one had anticipated they would be as popular as they were and towards the end of the night we were forced to get creative with the alcohol as the spirits bottles started looking a little empty! So we welcomed champagne cocktails to the menu board with our bar man Ned creating his take on a Mango and champagne mojito-they must’ve been good because the orders kept flooding in long after last orders were called!
Mark and Sally I hope your day was as wonderful as you’d hoped-it was a true celebration!
